Who is Chapter 122?

Locally, Harrisburg's EAA Chapter 122 membership is comprised of a group of aviation enthusiasts from quite diverse backgrounds. We are teachers, students, steelworkers, lawyers, engineers, retirees, small business owners, mail carriers, and computer specialists to name a few. Our youngest member is 17 years of age and our oldest is 86. Currently our membership draws from Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, and Perry counties. We are from all walks of life, but for 42 years we have been sharing one common passion, the love of aviation.

Some of us have been flying airplanes for over 50 years; others have yet to take their first flight lesson but are considering the possibility. Some have built and flown one or more airplanes in the past; some are currently building or restoring a variety of aircraft, both fixed and rotor wing, while others are weighing their options. We share our knowledge, skills, interests, and friendship in a variety of ways through educational, recreational, and social activities and events. We are involved at the grassroots level in areas that include community, industry, and government organizations, but the bottom line of what we are all about is we build airplanes, we fly them, and we do it together. And...we have a whole lot of fun in the process.
