Keystone Flight -- Chesapeake and Delaware Canal

6 ship formation!

Another great day with the exception of Cliff having a flat from his old tire that just wore out at Chester Co! Cliff, we felt bad about that, but you had a great attitude about it and kept pressing on -- good on 'ya for not letting it get you down! It was a lot of fun flying with you today and we all look forward to coming down to Va in March!

Fred, thanks for setting this up and being formation lead - lots of fun, and for me, being in the middle was a good change of scenery!

Tom, thanks for the soup - nice of you to pick that up for both of us! Great flying with you all day!

Thanks for coming out everyone - enjoy the photos! May send a coupled of sets if there are too many here.

I'll look up that fort and find out more about it....as I look at my photos, it appears it was also used as late as WW II for a coastal defense fortification....that, coupled with the fort on the eastern shore, would funnel in any enemy ship coming up the river. It's amazing to think we built that thinking the Germans or Japs would actually sail up the Delaware, but fear is a great motivator!

Nice canal - it was fun to see the entire thing end-to-end!

All in all, great day! See you all next time. Mike Marra
